I am certain you are aware that the national minimum wage for 16-18 year olds is £3.68 an hour and £4.98 an hour for those aged 18-20. Bullying laws often focus on schools, which are the site of a large amount of bullying behaviour, with bullying being the most problematic during the secondary school years.\r\n\r\nBullying laws have pursued different programs and agendas. Laws may or may not criminalise bullying, some preferring to keep the handling of such situations in the realm of families and schools (when appropriate) rather than the courts. Laws may require reports of bullying by school personnel who witness it, and prescribe responses to bullying that includes investigation and imposing disciplinary measures, notification for parents, and support and counselling of targets.\r\n\r\n\r\nSource: http://www.bullyingstatistics.org/content/bullying-laws.html","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2013-03-01T10:27:53.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:28:54.996Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:40:49.812Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2013-03-01T10:27:53.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"no-action","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"archived-petition","id":46664,"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/46664.json"},"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Make St David's Day (1st March) a Bank Holiday","background":null,"additional_details":"St Patricks Day has been a bank holiday in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland for about 100 years, A few years ago St Andrews Day was made a bank holiday in Scotland. We would like the government to realise that standards at Holy Family School are below an acceptable level and need addressing as soon as possible. We, the parents, would stress the need for a new-build to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both the staff and students. It is totally unfair that a school, that year after year gets good academic results, be ignored and left out in the cold.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2013-03-05T12:29:29.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:28:55.533Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:40:51.451Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2013-03-05T12:29:29.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"irrelevant","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"archived-petition","id":12019,"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/12019.json"},"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Public apology needed from David Starkey and the BBC following racist comments","background":null,"additional_details":"David Starkey and the BBC should be made to give a public apology for the unacceptable comments made on the BBC's Newsnight.\r\n\r\nUnacceptable comments made:\r\n\r\n''The whites have become black''\r\n\r\n\"This language which is wholly false, which is this Jamaican patois that’s been intruded in England, and this is why so many of us have this sense of literally a foreign country.\"\r\n\r\n\"Listen to David Lammy, an archetypical successful black man, if you turned the screen off so you were listening to him on radio you’d think he was white.\"\r\n\r\n\r\nPetition:\r\nWe, the undersigned, call Ofcom to fine the BBC for not challenging the racist comments made by David Starkey.\r\n\r\nWe, the undersigned, call for Ofcom to have the BBC and David Starkey make a public apology for the unacceptable and racist statements made by David Starkey on the BBC's Newsnight.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2011-08-14T13:56:39.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:26:58.436Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:34:31.797Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-08-14T13:56:39.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"irrelevant","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"archived-petition","id":12021,"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/12021.json"},"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Bring back Workhouses","background":null,"additional_details":"Due to the recent riots, the rioters felt that they wanted to burn down the \"rich people's businesses\" whilst wearing state of the art gear and having no idea of what it is like to work, due to them being poor and living in council flats, even though the Government is paying them money to keep doing criminal things.\r\nThe bad minded people of London need to find out how hard it is to get a job and to keep a job, the value of money and also to know that having the latest thing won't make them happy in the long run.\r\nBy introducing Workhouses, those evicted from their council flats can move in, and also be offered work.
