The justification for this is the ease of cleaning cubicles.\r\n\r\nThese gaps allow access to unscrupulous individuals to capture images of people in a state of undress, using mirrors and phone cameras/videos. This is a violation of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, sections 67 and 68.\r\n\r\nChildren from the age of 8 are permitted to use these facilities unaccompanied. This highlights the need for the Law to be addressed concerning how cubicles are designed in order to prevent voyeurism, and the procedure for dealing with complaints from victims.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":6,"created_at":"2014-08-25T13:59:01.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:30:11.900Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:45:00.743Z","opened_at":"2014-08-26T09:24:11.000Z","closed_at":"2015-03-30T22:59:59.000Z","moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2014-08-25T13:59:01.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":"This petition has been closed at the petitioners request."},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"archived-petition","id":22709,"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/22709.json"},"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Reduction in fuel VAT and Duty","background":null,"additional_details":"We would like to see a reduction in fuel VAT and duty to pre-2007 prices, taking the value of a litre to less than £1.\r\n\r\nIn making this adjustment, though the government would have a reduction in direct revenues, the public would take more trips and UK based holidays, transport companies and businesses would create journeys for meetings and distribution.\r\n\r\nThis would provide increased footfall in petrol stations due to more trips and thus extra spending on non-essential items. The amount paid to the micro business would be on a sliding scale starting at 50% and reducing to 25% after 9 months and finish after 18 months.
