The approach should be the same as that currently used for Paracetamol whereby a person can only buy a certain amount when they go out shopping or dining. Such an approach will help reduce the amount of calories available to overweight/obese people, which will also help reduce the financial burden on the NHS, and the emotional burden on families who have to try and look after an obese person. It will also help reduce the numbers of individuals who 'graduate' from being overweight to obese, and who go on to suffer from type 2 diabetes. Also, trees planted as landscaping around social housing, schools, and new property developments should be fruit trees not ornamental trees as this would give greater access to fresh fruit to a wide range of people and increase the number who regular eat five portions of fruit/veg a day.","committee_note":null,"state":"closed","signature_count":4,"created_at":"2011-12-15T20:13:50.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:27:44.418Z","rejected_at":null,"opened_at":"2011-12-16T10:43:28.000Z","closed_at":"2012-12-16T10:43:28.000Z","moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-12-15T20:13:50.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":null,"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}},{"type":"archived-petition","id":25903,"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/25903.json"},"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Fairly Priced Phone Calls For Everyone","background":null,"additional_details":"Something really needs to be done about the disproportionate cost of calls made from mobile telephones to 0845/0800 numbers, compared to that of the same calls made from a landline, the charges, I feel, are extortionate and sadly, a lot of 0845 numbers are numbers to contact helplines for people who are unemployed, the sick or people of pension age.
