Bank of England interest rate has been 0.5% for well over 2 years and this has resulted in savings rates being slashed over this period.Millions of savers in this country have been hit hard, and not only has there regular monthly/annual interest returns been reduced,but their capital is also being eroded due to sky high inflation.These savers did not cause the financial crisis but are paying for in now.What can the government do to help these forgotten voters?
