Putting these events down to criminality alone is an insufficient explanation.\r\n\r\n\r\nWe all want to make sure this doesn’t happen again, and so we need to understand why this happened.\r\n\r\n\r\nWe want a genuinely independent inquiry into the causes, free from party politics or ideology; an opportunity for local peoples’ voices and perspectives to be heard, so we can build a better future for everyone.\r\n\r\n\r\nWe believe the results of this inquiry should be presented in a format that is accessible to all: young and old; rich and poor alike. We call on the government to show a real commitment to act on the results of the inquiry.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2011-08-14T19:19:42.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:26:58.938Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:34:33.563Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-08-14T19:19:42.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}}}
