Finance brokers who charge upfront fees should be banned as they rarely, if ever secure a loan, they collect fees then refer you to another broker. Their advertised rates are low but actual rates are very high. Some don't charge upfront fees but instruct you to dial an 0906 number to continue, stating that the £1.50 per minute charge will be refunded,
