People should not have to rely on the fickle editor-led culture of broadcasters and newspapers to receive important information and opinions. Person to person communication (without a controlling filter) is the bedrock of democracy and freedom. These rights need to be prtoected, not reduced.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2011-08-25T11:18:34.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:27:08.319Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:35:06.851Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-08-25T11:18:34.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}}}
