Foreign countries are more flexible in the interpretaion of EU law whilst the UK government is too stringint in its enforcement. For example, certain countries look the other way when they know it will harm their industries. However, our government is zealous in its enforcement in the belief that by being an example than other countrie will follow. In the meantime our industry is being sacrificed.
