i feel that every day so many umbilical cords go to waste when they could be saving lives of people who need blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant,if it was made part of a midwifes job to inform a pregnant mother on how to do this and the pros of them donating they could be saving many lives instead of just been thrown away by the nhs
