Adopt a fairer stamp duty system with an extra option to pay on sale of property or in in stallments instead of on purchase.
1)A proposal to charge stamp duty at the percentages stated currently but only on the exceeding amount i.e. 1% on first 250000 then only 3% on the next 250000 and so on instead of 3% on all of the value.
2) Change our legislation to be more like that of European states and give people the option to pay stamp duty at the sale of the property perhaps or in installments so it does not act as an additional block to buyers in the current high deposit environment
