The Government is to ensure that ofsted use equal methods of gauging performance in all schools, especially with regard to schools that now have the freedom to choose their own curriculum.
To this end the Government must ensure clear assessment criteria for schools are laid before parliament and that the findings are published on an annual basis comparing all schools.
This is essential to see how the new model of education is developing and to see progress made by all students at all ages.
