After 700 years of democracy, it is time to make it an offence for an MP to knowingly mislead the public.
Currently an MP will loose their seat if they are found to have misled parliament. The same should be true if an MP is found to have knowingly misled the public.
This simply amounts to asking MP's to be required by law to tell the truth.
