The Local Authority Ombudsman has no power to regulate or investigate Parish Councils. This leaves parishioners helpless other than going to law when a parish councillor is considered to have acted unnacceptably by any number of parishioners.
PROPOSAL: That Parish Councils be made liable to regulation and investigation by a suitable authority when a given number of parishioners request it.
