Income tax was introduced as a temporary measure in 1798. Historically, tax was levied on wealth. For too long, successive Governments of all persuasions have shifted the burden of taxation from the wealthy to the working.
This has proven counterproductive for the health of our society and of our economy.
We believe that it is time to start rebalancing taxes to favour the working over the wealthy.
