60% of young people DONT want to go on to univeristy, They just want a chance of a job. i think companies should be able to offer apprentiships on on the same basis as universities offer courses. eg ,A electrical company offers a 3 year apprentiship at 6,000 a year, the goverment gives the trainee a grant, after 3 years once the now qualified electrician reaches earnings of 2,000 they would pay back the grant at so much a week through there income tax.We need well educated people to design things, but we also need trained people to build them
