{"links":{"self":"https://preview.epetitions.website/archived/petitions/18224.json"},"data":{"type":"archived-petition","id":18224,"parliament":{"period":"2010-2015","government":"Conservative – Liberal Democrat coalition","dissolution_at":"2015-03-30T23:59:59.000+01:00","response_threshold":10000,"debate_threshold":100000},"attributes":{"action":"Allow overtaking in other lanes of the motorway","background":null,"additional_details":"I propose that all motorway lanes can be used to pass other cars.\r\nThis should have some restrictions for safety such as only allowing this > 1 mile from slip roads.\r\n\r\nDrivers on the motorways in the UK are constantly complaining about other drivers sitting in lanes, especially the outside lane and not allowing faster cars to pass.\r\nThis is both dangerous and unessecarilly slows the traffic.\r\nWe have all witnessed frustrated drivers attempting to undertake (dangerously as others are not expecting  it)\r\n\r\nThis law is currently adopted successfully by other countries and shown to be safe as all road users are expecting this behaviour.
