Rejected petition Support the palestinian statehood bid.

During the recent UN meeting in New York, the palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas appealed to the UN to recognise a palestinian state. It was reported that barack obama would veto this appeal for reasons best known to him. However I believe that the UK should not follow americas steps (again) and should happily back the statehood bid to allow palestinians to live in peace and safety from Israel.
