Petition Increase the smoking age to 55
More details
Increasing the smoking age to 55 would mean that the person would be old enough to make an informed choice and due to their maturity, would not succumb so easily to peer pressure. I would also mean that the person who took up smoking at the allowed age, would probably not have enough time left in their life to suffer the ill effects, this would undoubtedly benefit the already strained NHS.
