Pension providers should be legally obliged to return the remaining pension fund to the payee's estate on death. Obviously this could be less a fee for management of the pension over the invested period, or based on the time of death after the pension starts, reducing as the person lives longer. The fact that at present the provider can keep the entire pot at present is totally unacceptable.
