We petition the government to press the BBC to cancel its planned cuts to local radio services under Delivering Quality First. BBC local radio is at the heart of our communities. It is an expression of localism and the Big Society in action. Local radio must be protected from significant cuts to allow it to continue its unique role in informing, supporting and entertaining local communities.
