Petition Financial controls on professional football players' wages
More details
With the large amounts that most footballers get paid each week, it would make sense to cap the amount they actually get in cash (as a fixed amount, not a percentage), and force the remainder to be paid into a trust fund, which would be payable when the player retires (either through age or injury). This trust fund could be paid as a weekly/monthly amount or lump sum if to buy property. This would bring footballers onto a more sensible living amount without penalisation.
