Under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 - http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1990/18/section/3, denial of service attacks are defined under section 3,(2), as an offense which can lead to up to ten years imprisonment, (section 3,(6),(c)).
This petition urges the government to review this law, which can lead to such harsh punishment for actions of political dissent, that in many ways are equivocal to carrying out a sit in.
