Rejected petition Referendum for membership of EU

I would like the Government to run a referendum on membership to the EU. It could be phrased as whether we see EU membership as a Voluntary Membership where we can enforce certain rules that are to the benefit of everyone rather than an enforce rule setting which can effect the majority more.
