Petition Fift Fifty is Fair. Help us back to work by making it pay. Let us keep our dole and half our wages.

Many people can't work because they would lose the reliable income of state benefit.
Allowing those on benefit to work and keep half the money earned would lift many from poverty, and every person to do so would save the taxpayer money because they would be paying higher rate tax themselves.
The three groups of people in desperate need of this option are:
The disabled. 50% of those with disabilities are unemployed. Is disability not punishment enough?
The long term unemployed
Some people have never experienced the pride of having a job and earning a living.
Offenders
Whilst this may well be justified, criminal records carry stigma, which makes it harder for offenders to get a job.
