The jobs sector needs to be more transparent. It should and must be made obligatory for employers to tell applicants on what grounds they have been rejected.\r\n\r\nThis will benefit everyone; job seekers will know where they are falling short and can improve future applications, whilst employers will receive a higher standard of applicant. It will also ensure that jobs are allocated fairly in a process free from subjectivity and corruption.\r\n\r\nIt should no longer be about ‘who you know’ but rather ‘what you know’.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2011-12-01T22:02:15.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:27:40.780Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:36:56.095Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-12-01T22:02:15.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"irrelevant","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}}}
