Petition The Government should pay to heat homes in winter

We believe that the Government has a responsibility to provide "a net, below which none can fall". Therefore they should pay to heat homes during winter. It is a scandal that people are having to turn off their heating during winter so they can afford to eat. We pay enough in tax. We don't control the rising costs of energy and falling wages. Please help us.
