This helps them to: see how knowledge learned at school is used at work; develop employability skills such as self-management, problem-solving and how to work with customers, clients and colleagues; decide what courses to take post-16; and, find out about jobs and careers.\r\n\r\nFollowing the Wolf Review of Vocational Education, the Government has announced plans to remove work-related learning from the statutory Key Stage 4 curriculum. With youth unemployment at record levels, we believe this decision is wrong and should be reversed.\r\n\r\nYoung people need help to prepare for employment. This should be seen as a vital element of every young person’s education, and should remain a protected part of the Key Stage 4 curriculum.","committee_note":null,"state":"rejected","signature_count":1,"created_at":"2011-12-06T09:38:06.000Z","updated_at":"2020-02-16T19:27:42.090Z","rejected_at":"2017-06-21T12:37:00.160Z","opened_at":null,"closed_at":null,"moderation_threshold_reached_at":"2011-12-06T09:38:06.000Z","response_threshold_reached_at":null,"government_response_at":null,"debate_threshold_reached_at":null,"debate_scheduled_at":null,"scheduled_debate_date":null,"debate_outcome_at":null,"rejection":{"code":"duplicate","details":null},"government_response":null,"debate":null,"departments":[],"topics":[]}}}
