Petition Sure Start Maternity Grant for first time applicants even if you have other children

Can the government reconsider the new law made on the SSMG for only first time mothers or families only because some of us did not claim for the first born child and are now on very low incomes and will need help from the goverment.
I would like the goverment and policy makers to look into this and make it fair to those of us that need help now after some many years of working and putting back into the economy and putting off having children. We need the government HELP NOW and not LATER.
