Council’s salaries, allowances and expenses are often discussed and approved behind closed doors, without any participation from the Borough’s taxpayers.
Government should ensure that Council’s Committees must have members of the public, taking part in the decision process. These, randomly selected, individuals should be Borough residents and have paid Council Tax.
