Rejected petition TfL should refund those who do not use public transport during the Olympics

I want the government to ensure that those who work in London, use public transport and who have to work from home during the Olympics, are refunded any days they do not use their travel cards. Why should people pay to use a system which they are being encouraged not to use for an event which most people are unable to go to?
TfL already have some of the highest travel costs in the world for a sub-standard service and by making people pay for this during the Olympics is an insult.
