Petition Airport Security Staff should not be employed by the individual airports owners.

At the moment Airport Security Staff are employed by the individual airports and their owners.

This has created a piecemeal and inconsistent approach where instructions passed down from the DFT can be and indeed are interpreted differently in different airports, without the airports admitting that they do things differently because they have different owners.

A security staff employed by DFT would remove all the problems of inconsistency at the checkpoints, individual airports doing things differently (and that has the potential to cause problems of itself) and would have the potential to speed things up as travellers would know what to do, rather than having to be told what to do at the front of the queue.
