Rejected petition Water shortage caused by poor management - The privitised water companies have no interest in solving the problem.

The current water shortage causing us to be in drought conditions despite the wettest April for 100 years is caused by a lack of management of the resources.
Currently we have more water than we know what to do with - and there is no where to store it. Building storage would cost the water companies money - but they would gain nothing from it.
Banning hoses actually saves the water companies huge amounts of money as they do not have to pump or purify the water - hence with a hoepipe ban in place, and no reductions in bills they make lots of money.
This has to change - we have global warming to deal with!
