Petition allow cycling on pavements
More details
Cycling on pavements should be allowed in towns/villages and other rural areas where national speed limits (or limits above 30mph) are enforced.
Allowing cyclists on pavements in these areas would reduce the risk of collisions between vehicles and cyclists and would make the cyclist feel safer.
In most cases cyclists see pedestrians well in advance to plan and manoeuvre safely to avoid contact whereas a fast moving car might not have that same luxury on tight corners or other low visibility roads
