Petition social housing to go to local people
More details
We want social/ affordable housing to go to those in need in the local area. One of the causes of the riots was identified as lack of social cohesion. Grandparents and extended families are important as well as children having both parents in their lives. Where people have lived somewhere all their lives or for decades and need housing they should be given priority over people from outside the area.
