Petition All administered drugs need information papers from manufacturer issued to patients/parents.
More details
All drugs that are administered by doctors/nurses should have papers similar to those found in over-the-counter and prescription drugs.
These papers need to be given to the patient/parents/legal guardian.
These papers need to list all reported side-effects.
These papers must come from the manufacturer of that particular drug since drugs can vary between manufacturers.
If these papers are unavailable at the time then they must be given within 24 hours or at discharge, which ever comes first.
This will give patient/parents/legal guardians more information.
Will reduce issues where foreign healthcare cannot find documentation on drugs given to multi-national families.
Increases the information available to the parent when anti-biotic are given to a baby and no after-medication advise is given by healthcare professionals.
Will reduce inaccurate internet information searches on side-effects for drug groups rather than specific formulations.
