The design of buildings in the UK should be restricted to those persons suitably qualified and registered. Europe, Canada, New Zealand and the USA provide good examples of workable legislation.
The UK is unusual in allowing unqualified persons to design buildings, a fact that is costing both taxpayers and property owners money in wasted time correcting errors and dealing with health & safety risks.
