Petition Mobile Phone use by Pedestrains
More details
For years there have several advocates against mobile phone use while driving, now with the ever-increasing number of mobile phone users both drivers and pedestrains, It is necessary for the Government to enact laws that would ensure all road users adhere to guidelines for using mobile phones on UK roads.
There have been several accidents caused by people crossing roads whie engaged in conversations on their mobile phones or whilst using similar electronic gadgets. Both drivers and pedestrians(who should be regarded as 'Soft' road users) should owe themselves and other users a duty of care that safeguards road use and they should not use these devices in a manner that would endanger lives.
It should be illegal for drivers to use or operate mobile phones and other electronic devices without a handsfree device whilst driving and likewise it should be illegal for pedestrains, cyclists and other 'soft' road users to use their Mobile phones in a manner that compromises safety
