The practice of leafletting households indiscriminately by posting several leaflets at once of junk mail promoting takeaway foods is wrong because:
- It is usually printed on glossy non-recyclable paper;
- It promotes an unhealthy lifestyle;
- It obscures other deliveries in the postbox;
- It often ends up as litter on the streets;
- It is a waste of resources.
We petition that fast food junk mail be debated as a matter of health, nuisance, and environmental awareness, and that measures be discussed to discourage this practice.
