A similar approach should be used with police forces in England & Wales as is happening in Scotland, with the merger of all forces.
With more and more forces starting to share operational units and HR functions to save costs, surely it would be more cost efficient to have 1 police force across England & Wales, which would also bring us into line with Northern Ireland and Scotland who each have 1 national force.
