Petition no more double standards

it has become common knowledge that a man who is now dead and yet was honored and made a sir by the queen, actually did dishonorable things to young women and vunerable people.
smoking causes death from cancer to be the biggest cause of preventable death in this country and yet the government continue to allow it to be sold and even profit from tobacco being exported to other nations.
now if it is against the law to shoot or stab a person, then why does the government allow tobacco companies to kill huge amounts of people through the production and sale of tobacco?
if sexually abusing children causes damage and dishonor, then is isn't permitting tobacco that kills thousands each year even more dishonorable and cruel?
if it is wrong for a celebrity to abuse people then why can mps abuse us by means of the tobacco business?
