We call upon the government NOT to implement the recommendations of Leveson LJ following his inquiry into the culture, practices and ethics of the press.

We insist that there be no return to the Licensing of the Press Act 1662 and that the the English press retain its freedom which should, furthermore, be legally enshrined.
