Rejected petition Wealthy MPs to invest in Britain
More details
The Cabinet’s combined personal wealth is nearly £70m (as reported by The Telegraph reported earlier this year).
To take just three key examples, the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s private fortune is frequently reported to stand at £4m, the Prime Minister’s personal wealth is estimated to be, possibly substantially, in excess of £3.2m, with combined family riches of up to £30m and Lord Strathclyde’s (Leader of the House of Lords) own fortune is approaching £10m.
I am proposing that these individuals, and their wealthy colleagues, demonstrate belief in this country and the policies they are implementing and begin visibly investing their own wealth in Britain, creating jobs.
The wealthiest members of society include those governing us and should not be exempt from doing their bit for the ‘big society’.
