Rejected petition NO to HS 2 - Rail for the People not for the few !

We are opposed to HS 2 and are calling for the government not to go ahead with rail for the few.
The taxpayer is expected to contribute £34.5 BILLIONS, £1,000 per head in the UK for this extravagance which when finished will only benefit the few.
We say NO to HS 2 when the most vulnerable in society are bearing the brunt of the ConDem cuts.
HS 2 will cause immense environmental damage to the English countryside.
An unknown number of exhumations of the dead, believed to be tens of thousands, from their final resting place.
Existing rail infrastructure should be upgraded instead, with better journey times, more trains and train stations, ensuring improved rail transport for the many and not the few.
