Further to the Horse and Hound magazine article on the 7th February 2013, I am petitioning for horse riders to be exempt from prosecution under section 90 Police Act 1996 for impersonating a Police officer if wearing POLITE hi-viz equine safety clothing.

I have noticed cars take more notice when i am hacking my horse when wearing these jackets than without. Is it a negative that people mistake horseriders for mounted police officers if it keeps riders safe and ensures drivers slow for horses.
