As a consequence of this governments austerity measures and their assertion "that we are all in this together" MPs should show solidarity with the general public and abolish, with immediate effect, MPs allowances and expenses for a period5 years with potential savings of approximately £90,000,000 per year.
The government must use its mandate to ensure these extensive allowances and expenses are abolished within the life of this Parliament.
