The two major political parties have blocked funding for the Bogside artists because they will not hand over their artistic freedom and paint political propoganda for them. Their work is world reknowned and chonicles the birth of civil rights here in Londonderry, City of culture. . The murals are now deteriorating very quickly. They are a wonderful asset to this City and draw many tourists to the area . Please please lend the Governmnents weight to our little cause. It would be wonderful if pressure were brought to to the N. Irel assembly to stop blocking funds. Any artistic venture must be supported in this our year.
