Rejected petition Confidence in management of the NHS is being undermined

More details

We, the undersigned, urge the Prime Minister and the Government

to comprehend that continuing government support for Sir David Nicholson remaining in post as CEO of the National Health Service is seriously undermining both patient and public confidence and trust in the overall management and leadership of the NHS.

The consequence of serious failure of multiple management practices, processes and systems at Mid Staffordshire was of such a scale that an apology is not acceptable. No manager is irreplaceable and every manager must be fully accountable. Demanding accountability is not supporting scapegoating.
