After purchasing yeast to make my own bread - I looked at the ingredients and one of those ingredients was 'Absorbic Acid.' The flour treatment agent which is, in no way, beneficial to humans. So - it is in yeast products and even in the breads marked 'Organic.' We need to give people the choice to avoid this chemical in their food products if they wish to. It is a chemical for aesthetic and 'profit boosting' reasons only.
