An independent committee of experts, patients, and patient representatives should be set up to oversee government funding for biomedical research into ME (also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis), and the amount of yearly government funding allocated to biomedical research into ME should be similar to other similar diseases such as MS, AIDS, Cancer and Parkinson's.
