Rejected petition Margaret Thatcher's funeral to be privatised

In light of the severe austerity policies pursued by our current government, the mooted ceremonial funeral for Margaret Thatcher- at a cost to the public purse of millions of pounds- is an unnacceptable expense.
Instead we, the undersigned, believe that the former PM's legacy, particularly her tireless spearheading of the privatisation of state assets, would be best served by a funeral funded entirely by the private sector.
